The Dual Process Model of Coping is an evidence-based tool that offers insight into why adapting to significant loss feels destabilizing as we process unwanted changes. This training will increase the effectiveness of your support strategies with system involved youth and families by explaining how knowledge of the Dual Process Model of Coping enables you to select supportive techniques that align with grieving patterns for non-death as well as death losses. Participants will be informed through presenter instruction, a slide presentation, a learning activity, and explanation of supportive techniques. To increase participant engagement and content retention, the presenter will also utilize the chat box, reaction emojis, guided participant discussion, and Questions & Response.
