Foster Care Training

This training will teach participants on techniques taken from a “motivational interviewing” perspective that they can use when working with youth in care to change negative behaviors and thinking. The techniques are short and easy to learn and can be used over and over again to help youth to work through how their thinking is affecting their actions. Also covered are techniques on how to engage youth in conversations that lead to engagement, focusing on the reasons for change, and planning on how to get the change they want.
