Foster Care Training

Youth in foster care have experienced losses and ruptures in important relationships, often on multiple occasions. This training discussed how the profound impact of loss and grief impacts the ability of providers to take up their roles when youth and families are in activated grief stages. Factors of race and privilege are also explored in this discussion, and how the added layer of cultural loss may be a critically important element of youth/families experience of loss when cultural roots have been severed.
