This training will explain the basic principles of Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), including goals and objectives as well as core principles and techniques which can be applied within efforts to support system involved youth (SIY) and families. The training will include a detailed explanation of the two phases of PCIT: Child-Directed Interaction (CDI) and Parent-Directed Interaction (PDI) as well as the benefits of PCIT for SIY.
