This training provides an in-depth understanding of Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD), with a focus on its causes, symptoms, and implications for foster and system-involved youth. Participants will explore the role of early trauma, neglect, and disrupted attachment in the development of RAD. Through lectures, case studies, and group activities, attendees will learn evidence-based approaches to support children and adolescents affected by attachment disruptions. Emphasis will be placed on trauma-informed and relational strategies that promote safety, connection, and emotional regulation.
