This training focuses on brain development of youth, exploring the impact of trauma on neurodevelopment, with a special in-depth focus on autism and sensory integration. Through a case-based example, we will examine a case of a foster child where the differential diagnosis included Autism Spectrum, Sensory Processing Disorder, ADHD, and emotional challenges. Participants will learn to understand differences in those diagnoses and how to advocate for the child’s needs within complex systems.
