This course is for BlPOC professionals working with system involved youth and families addressing Internalized Oppression. Internalized Oppression is a pervasive internalized racist structure replicated within the BIPOC community as a direct result of institutional racist structures within society. The main points of the training are:
- Recognize somatic response in challenging engagement,
- Identify own oppression and privileges brought to conversations with youth and families,
- Identify three behaviors to shift to support in families in challenges of internalized racism.
