Foster Care Training

This training is designed for Learning-Based Direct Service Staff, providing them with a deep understanding of how implicit bias affects their roles. Through interactive activities, discussions and self-reflection, participants will develop the skills and strategies to recognize and address bias in their interactions and decision-making processes. Emphasizes building trust, promoting inclusivity and fostering cultural competence to create safe and equitable environments for students. Participants will be equipped to mitigate the negative impact of implicit bias and contribute to positive outcomes. The material will be delivered by PowerPoint presentation, short video clips, group discussion, breakout (small group) discussions and participant workbook (handout).
