Training Summary: Given the disproportionate number of youth of color in the foster care and juvenile justice systems, it’s imperative for social service providers to provide culturally relevant services. This webinar will explore cultural perspectives on trauma, healing, and resiliency. With a greater cultural understanding of these concepts, providers will be able to increase their engagement with system-involved youth and families in more culturally meaningful ways. Class Objectives: (what knowledge, ideas or skills will participants explore, learn, practice, etc during the training) 1. Participants will be able to discuss the importance of understanding through a cultural lens. 2. Participants will be able to identify at least 2 ways culture impacts healing. 3. Participants will be able to facilitate discussions with youth about culture. Participants will be able to: 1. Participants will be better equipped to work with families in a way that encourages their healing.  2. Participants will use knowledge gained to disseminate resources and knowledge to colleagues also working with youth impacted by mass incarceration
