The Diagnostic Classification of Mental Health and Developmental Disorders of Infancy and Early Childhood (DC:0-5 Version 2.0) is a framework for thinking about and summarizing young children’s struggles (birth through 5 years). The DC: 0-5 was updated in 2021, Version 2.0. This course will assist participants in thinking about and summarizing presenting behavioral concerns (underlying wounds) in system-involved youth clients and classifying the concerns utilizing a common language. The diagnosis resulting from a formal assessment will guide treatment plans. The DC: 0-5 Version 2.0 crosswalk to the DSM 5 and ICD 10 will also be presented and discussed.
