Youth in Child Welfare, Probation, and other publicly funded systems of care often are at the intersection of complex systems. In this session, staff will learn about how services are funded for foster youth. We will review the rules and limitations that govern how various services are paid for. We will also discuss the role of counties to allocate funding and drive service delivery for community based organizations who contract with them. There will also be a Q&A session for staff to ask questions they have about the county budgeting process and the history of mental health funding in California.
