This training is designed for non-clinical staff who work directly with system-involved youth and families, including Family Resource Center staff, case managers, and community support personnel. In this training, the facilitator will guide participants in understanding the concept of unconscious bias and how it can influence interactions with system-involved families and colleagues. Participants will explore how biases can affect decisions about resource allocation, engagement strategies, and collaboration within teams. Through discussion, case examples, and reflective activities, participants will learn practical strategies to recognize and mitigate bias, fostering equitable, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed approaches when supporting system-involved families.
