In this workshop you will learn strategies to cultivate and deepen self-reflective practices around your white identity and how that shows up in your work. We will use a framework of mindfulness, non-judgment, self acceptance and self love to explore these topics. We will create a safe space to explore what emotions and thoughts arise as white identified practitioners working in a multiracial context. We will practice compassionate and mindful listening and communication to build resilience for challenging conversations and authentic feedback within the workplace. You will be guided in practices to examine bias, prejudice, and gain understanding around how white supremacy impacts you personally and professionally. From this place, we will explore how to build allyship to youth and communities that we serve.
