Training will outline the various aspects of a father’s role in the social and emotional development of their children. Using the experiences of the participants, this training offers critical lenses on the successes & failures of emotional parenting for dads. Review and discuss key aspects of social and emotional parenting. Practice how to engage in active listening. Communication/conflict styles in the home are examined for meeting the needs of children. Examining and profiling the contextual and supportive elements of a vignette, which will include practicing how to identify and modify parent triggers and responses to the social and emotional needs of children.
