EBAC’s Learning and Education Program Director Alicia Montgomery invites you to a conversation with Bay Area author Crystel Patterson, as she speaks about her “Inspired to Be…” book series in which she seeks to spread Black inspiration to all children. Her book One Flip, Two Flip, Three Flip Four will be highlighted in this conversation as we talk about how this book can make a difference in the lives of system impacted youth and families. Areas of focus will include: the author’s intent, the impact the story has had on young lives and how this book could be used in schools and homes across the Bay area. After the Author’s reading of the book discussion will be led on the importance of identifying strengths, supporting developmental assets for resilience and locating resources in the community with youth and families.
