This training will explore and highlight the history and complexities of how Black identity is portrayed in film and television and how this impacts behaviors and perceptions of Black youth in foster care. This information can help providers have a better understanding and insight of their own unconscious biases and internalized oppression that have been fueled through media (tv/movies) about themselves and the youth they serve.
