As service providers we strive to change things for system involved youth, families, and communities. We want to create a better world. We look at the issues outside our doors and often miss the issues within our organizations, including the impact that white supremacy culture has on how we show up for communities. Characteristics of white supremacy are damaging to organizational structures, the people working within them and the clients we ultimately seek to serve. They hurt both BIPOC and White people. In this training we will examine the ways that white supremacy exists in organizations, the impact it has on how we show up in this work and how we can work to unlearn and change these ways of work.
