This training will provide an in-depth look at the impact that early traumatic experiences can have on the development of infants and children ages 0-5. Taking an attachment-based perspective, this training will provide a foundational understanding of the following:
  1. The typical developmental trajectory of infants and children ages 0-5 (including critical milestones in the areas of cognition and relational capacities);
  2. The impact that trauma can have on development across each stage of this period, and
  3. A look at how to begin to address and heal these disruptions in a relational, therapeutic context, with both the child and the caregiver.
