This training will educate providers about transgender and gender expansive identities, including terminology, pronouns, laws that protect trans and gender expansive people, clinical interventions and best practices, and office best practices. Individuals will explore their own gender identity development and gender expression using the three dimensions of gender framework, build empathy, and gain insight about how social forces shape each of our genders. Through facilitated discussions, group activities, and multimedia, participants will grow their understanding of gender, identity development, health disparities, laws, and best practices to create a welcoming and inclusive service environment that supports transgender clients and colleagues alike.
