Foster Care Training

Situational awareness—the ability to notice surroundings, assess safety, and respond effectively—is essential for youth in foster care and adoption. This training helps child welfare professionals understand how patterns of hyperawareness and hypoawareness affect safety and decision-making, and provides practical strategies to plan supportive environments, reduce risk, and promote resilience without punitive measures.
