This training will educate providers about how to support transgender and nonbinary youth with any of three types of gender transitions,social, medical, and legal. Participants will explore important factors to consider when supporting trans and nonbinary youth in transitioning, as well as the multiple layers of identity that may impact their gender transition process. Participants will review best practices and community resources to support youth and their caregivers for best possible medical & mental health outcomes, and apply their learning to a video case study.
