The holidays can be a trying time for foster youth because of not celebrating with family, grief and loss, etc. COVID also adds complications as youth in placements may not be able to have passes or visits with their families. Given all this, it’s important for providers to be aware of the challenges the holidays bring for many foster youth and support them through the holidays.
