In the midst of the COVID19 pandemic, youth are often told to follow different protocols including frequent handwashing, wearing masks, and social distancing. Although they are told this is the best way to prevent the spread of the virus, they do not always understand what it means. Providers attending this training will discuss the barriers they encounter when encouraging youth to follow safety precautions to keep themselves and others safe. Participants will strategize how to best support youth at the Assessment Center during the COVID19 pandemic and practice age appropriate language to help youth better understand COVID19.
