Virtual Instructor Led Training

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, foster youth are often told to follow different protocols including frequent handwashing, wearing masks, and social distancing. When in short-term and shared room placements with other youth, this can be especially important. Although they are told this is the best way to prevent the spread of the virus, they do not always understand why this will promote their safety. Providers attending this training will discuss the barriers they encounter when encouraging youth to follow safety precautions to keep themselves and others safe. Participants will strategize how to best support youth’s safety oriented behaviors.
