The current health crisis is creating worry for kids, teens and adults alike. Children’s lives have changed notably in recent weeks and they are absorbing adult stress related to the current situation. Young people who are involved in the child welfare system face distinct stressors during these larger community concerns. This course will explore in depth how to talk to kids and teens about COVID-19 and the resulting changes in their lives. We will also cover concrete tips for working as effectively as possible with kids and teens in videohealth sessions. Case examples will be discussed. This on-line course will include some information-sharing as well as numerous opportunities for interaction and engagement.
