Foster Care Training

Children and teens are naturally dependent on various systems, including family, schools, and communities, but it is important to build upon the strengths in those resources when youth are system-involved. Participants will examine the core components that promote healthy adaptation in youth, with a focus on understanding the adaptive tasks that bolster resiliency and lead to positive outcomes for system-involved youth. The training will emphasize the importance of recognizing and supporting these adaptive tasks within the context of grief, providing those who support system-involved youth with strategies to strengthen the systems that surround youth.
