“Training Summary: System-involved youth experience a significant amount of loss whether it’s from removal from their families of origin, deaths loved ones and friends, and loss of connection to their culture, divorce, parental incarceration, etc. This workshop will discuss the impact of parental separation and divorce on system-involved youth’s social, emotional and educational development. Participants will also learn how to support youth with their grief process Class Objectives: (what knowledge, ideas or skills will participants explore, learn, practice, etc during the training) 1. Participants will be able to identify at least one component of prolonged grief disorder 2. Participants will be able to identify one impact grief and loss has on youth 3.
