The purpose of this training is to teach participants to focus on respectful and professional conduct in the workplace and across all aspects of work with children, youth, and families. As a part of that approach, they are instructed on the legal definition of sexual harassment, as well as the reality of what types of potentially inappropriate conduct occur in the workplace. Supervisors and managers are taught what they are legally obligated to do when they become aware of sexual harassment between supervisors and employees, between co-workers, and between third parties and employees. Participants should leave the training with an understanding of what sexual harassment really is, what conduct occurs in and outside of the workplace that may not rise to the level of unlawful harassment but still may be problematic and how to practically and effectively respond to complaints of harassment. The purpose of this training is to ensure that youth and families receive the highest level of care via professional service provision.
