System Involved Youth (SIY) experience the dissonant feelings and emotional experiences of separation, grief and loss. SIY infrequently have any knowledge or understanding of the purpose of these emotions nor have the ability to effectively organize their emotional experiences. Giving SIY basic knowledge of their emotions as well as their purpose for overcoming grief and loss creates an opportunity for SIY to comprehend their emotional experiences and subsequent behaviors. Somatic techniques and practices will be shared for supporting SIY experiencing separation, grief and loss.
