Foster Care Training

Training Summary: This course is designed to provide counselors with practical tips and solutions to assist parents or caregivers in dealing with and resolving conflict with their children. We will do this through evaluating what conflict is and some of the possible causes of conflict. We will then work through to identify de-escalation techniques and build ways to prevent or minimize conflict in the future. We will also take steps to achieve reconciliation and understanding with the children we work with or care for. Participants will be able to: -Identify possible causes of conflict -Specify how to prevent or minimize conflict -Explain how to respond appropriately to conflict -Plan de-escalation techniques.
