Caregivers play a crucial role in preventing youth from getting caught up in the commercial sex industry, so it’s important to equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills to talk with youth. The “Raising Awareness” facilitator training is a 1-day training to teach participants how to educate parents and caregivers about CSEC. The trainers will teach participants how to facilitate the “Raising Awareness” curriculum. The curriculum covers the following topics: an overview of CSEC, risk factors for entry into CSEC, the dangers of the Internet and social media and strategies to talk with youth about CSEC. The handouts are available in Spanish.
