Outcomes for youth in Child Welfare and Probation systems are consistently better for children and families who identify as White and worse for those who do not. The racial inequity stems from a combination of personal (and often unconscious) bias, historical racism, and systemic oppression. This series will lead those that work with youth and families through a framework to shift our own internal perspectives, understand the historical forces that shape the present, and develop innovative ideas on how to build new ways of working that prioritizes equity for all families.
