Despite mandates to comprehensively assess foster youth with respect to the identification of possible physical health, mental health, and developmental problems, research published over the last decade has indicated that physical health, mental health, and developmental problems among children in foster care are not always identified or treated. This training reviews the importance of gathering all relevant information before addressing supporting foster youth in progressing in their plans.
