Youth in foster care may enter with a variety of pre-existing needs as well as needs that may have arisen in the aftermath of their placement change. Parents and caregivers should be aware of how to identify or screen for behavioral or emotional needs, as well as what services may be available to address youth’s health needs. This training provides an overview of how outpatient services may benefit youth in care, and common considerations for families in need of this support.
