In this training, participants will gain a generalized concept of Motivational Interviewing. Participants will be introduced to the spirit of MI, four processes of MI, sustained talk, discord and change talk, OARS (open-ended, affirmations, reflections, and summary). Participants will have the opportunity to work in small groups, engage in various activities, and receive tangible examples to use during their work with clients. This training has many activities, handouts, and videos to support all learning styles.
