This course is co-facilitated by Stella Sheldon and Angelina Jimenez, Certified Mental Health First Aid Certification Instructors Mental Health First Aid is a certification course that teaches you how to recognize and respond to signs of mental health challenges and substance use disorders. This training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis. The content is applicable for supporting any person, however special emphasis will be placed on how to use these skills to support children and families involved in child welfare systems.
