Foster Care Training

Youth coming to the Assessment Center are removed from their homes for reasons of abuse or neglect or are changing placement within the foster care system. In this training, participants will explore different scenarios where youth disclose new information about maltreatment that has not previously been reported. This training will provide an overview of different forms of maltreatment including psychological, neglect, exploitation, sexual and physical abuse. Providers will learn how to collaborate with Child Welfare and communicate essential information needed to ensure the safety of the youth.
