Help your clients to build and strengthen motivation to change problematic behaviors (e.g. substance use disorders, unhealthy eating habits, and poor treatment engagement and adherence). This 2-day intensive training will introduce participants to the spirit, principles, processes, and skills used in motivational interviewing, an evidence-based method. Learning activities will include live demonstration, video-tape examples, “real-plays,” and small group exercises, with plenty of opportunities for participant practice with feedback. This workshop is appropriate for behavioral health professionals and other service providers with no prior or minimal to moderate exposure to Motivational Interviewing.
