Training Summary: This is the first of 4 consecutive trainings designed to provide introductory information in working with children 0 to 5 and their families from a relational perspective and for those interested in gaining familiarity with the Early Childhood Mental Health (ECMH). The first training will introduce the field of Early Childhood Mental Health, including its principles, goals and ways to address social-emotional development and various challenges experienced in the early childhood. Participants will gain basic understanding of working with young children (0 to 5) and their families to address various mental health related challenges from a relational and reflective perspectives. Participants will be able to: -Identify at least 2 basic principles of ECMH -Specify the uniqueness of ECMH work and distinguish its goals -Name at least 2 benefits of ECMH work for young children -Catalog the functional emotional developmental capacities
