Child Parent Relationship Therapy is an evidence- based approach that aims to change the mental health structure of families, communities and ultimately society by changing the nature of relationships in families by helping parents/caregivers become therapeutic agents in their children’s lives (Landreth &B ratton, 2020). Child Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) is a unique approach in which clinicians use play as a format of didactic instruction, demonstration play sessions, required at-home laboratory play sessions and supervision in a supportive environment to teach parents/caregivers to be therapeutic agents in their child’s life. This training will provide an overview of the essential structure, skills, materials, and resources needed to learn how to effectively conduct CPRT.
