Virtual Instructor Led Training

Assessing one’s cultural identify as well as experiences of discrimination and oppression becomes crucial with foster youth and their families. Without this understanding, it will be a challenge to meet them where they are at and understand the experiences they’ve had and are having. In this training, we will talk about the ways in which culture influences us and ways to increase awareness of culture, including discrimination, during early information gathering efforts with foster youth and families. Participants will also be able to learn how to complete a culturalgram with foster youth and their families to gain a better understanding of their cultural influences.
