Foster Care Training

Assessing one’s cultural identify as well as experiences of discrimination and oppression become crucial with youth, foster youth and their families. Without this understanding, it is challenging to meet them where they are at and understand the experiences they’ve had and are having. Ways in which culture influences us and ways to increase assessment of culture, including discrimination will be discussed during the intake process and other situations. Participants will learn how to complete a culturalgram with youth and families to gain a better understanding of their cultural influences. Please register at:
