Summary: This course is designed to provide staff with behavior management strategies when working with traumatized youth and families. The aim of the course is to assist adults with an understanding of who the youth are, where they come from and why they do what they do when considering the losses they have experienced, in order to come up with effective tools and techniques when participating in trauma-informed work.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

▪Identify personal childhood trauma triggers that affect adult interventions
▪Explain how loss and grieving knowledge can lead to effective coping strategies for youth and families
