Experiencing domestic violence as a child can have a long and lasting impact, putting children and youth at a higher risk for developing social emotional, behavioral, and mental health problems. Parenting children and youth who have experienced the trauma of domestic violence can be challenging. In this training caregivers will learn what domestic violence is, how being exposed to domestic violence impacts children and how to respond in a loving and supportive trauma informed way.
