Foster Care Training

This 1-day course will provide an overview of the intersection of shame and trauma for system-involved youth. Trauma survivors carry heavy burdens of shame that impact all aspects of life. Despite how prevalent shame is amongst system-involved youth it’s rarely discussed. The workshop will also focus on strategies to heal shame with youth and young adults who have experienced trauma. Participants will learn about self-compassion and strategies to practice self-compassion with commercially sexually exploited youth and young adults.
