This 1-day training will provide an overview of shame and involvement in the commercial sex industry and how it can present in treatment. Given the number of system-involved youth involved in the commercial sex industry, it’s vital for providers to understand how shame presents. The workshop will also focus on strategies to heal shame with youth and young adults who have been commercially sexually exploited. Participants will learn about self-compassion and strategies to practice self-compassion with commercially sexually exploited youth and young adults.
