This workshop will focus on deepening understanding of gender expansive children and youth within the context of baseline gender development and addressing the unique needs of gender expansive children and youth within both their family systems and within the systems of care. Best practices of and case illustration will be offered to illustrate the Gender Affirmative Model of care. Practical tools for creating institutional practices that foster “Gender Wellness” will also be offered.
