We invite you to participate in a Professional Learning Community (PLC) focused on exploring abolitionism in order to take active steps towards applying it in the workplace. Participants will explore the foundations of policing in the United States, explore the case for abolition, reflect on reform efforts in their context and identify abolitionist steps in their professional setting (abolitionist teaching, etc.).

This group will meet for eight two hour sessions beginning in February 2021 and ending in May 2021. Sessions will be held remotely (Zoom) bi-weekly on Tuesday afternoons between the hours of 2pm and 4pm on the following dates: February 2nd & 16th, March 2nd & 16th, and April 13th & 27th, May 11th & 25th

We encourage professionals across fields and disciplines to enroll in this opportunity to explore, reflect on and reimagine their practice grounded in abolitionism. Space is limited and we ask that all participants ensure they can attend all sessions prior to registering. If participants miss more than 1 session without notice, they will be dropped from future sessions.
