Foster Care Training

Youth in the foster care system often have complex needs and histories that for many youth become invisible parts of their past that are unspoken, or often re-enacted. Youth in care may not have always developed skills to effectively communicate with resource families, child welfare workers, and even with peers and their community. This foundational training provides an experiential view of skills youth may need to develop to support their independent living later in life. This trainer will facilitate exercises to help participants understand ways to support youth in developing effective communication skills.
