Foster Care Training

Online Training

This full-day course will support professionals in offering trainings to providers and parents involved with system involved youth. Participants will practice facilitation skills, experiment with activities, cultivate the skills needed to create measurable, specific objectives, and how to build a training based on those objectives. We will focus on how to create and facilitate engaging content that keeps young people’s attention in an online space.

Participants will consider the needs of the audiences they will be presenting to, rehearse dealing with microaggressions, storytelling, and facilitating difficult conversations. Participants will leave with a greater understanding of how to create and present training content to meet multiple learning styles and evaluate their effectiveness in delivering information in a virtual context to system involved youth.
